How we verify
We verify the facts. You make the decision. Every verified detail on a profile is checked against an official source and shown with its origin and date — so you can inspect it, not just trust a badge.
What “Verified by Escava” means
It's a neutral badge indicating that we checked specific profile facts against official sources. It is not a recommendation, a ranking, or a guarantee of results — it's confirmation of verifiable facts. The decision is always yours.
What we verify
Identity
That the professional or clinic exists and that the profile's basic details match public records.
Professional license
Registration in REPS (the Ministry of Health's registry of healthcare providers). Where possible, we also validate the individual health-professional registry (RETHUS).
Society memberships
Membership in medical societies, verified against their official directories (e.g. SCCP, AsoColDerma, SCO, ACCOMF).
Ratings
Reviews are always shown with their source (e.g. “via Google”). We don't invent or average ratings; we show where they come from.
How we show the evidence
Each badge opens a detail panel showing exactly what was verified, against which source, and on what date. Verification is dated because licenses and memberships change; we re-check periodically.
Verification levels (we're honest about how much we know)
Not every profile has the same depth of checking. Each badge's detail says which applies:
- Verified license — we confirmed the professional registration against the official registry.
- Society / REPS data — confirmed against an official directory or registry.
- Identity only — we verified existence and basic details, no further checks yet.
What we do NOT do
- We don't sell the badge. Verification is free and neutral; payment never changes the badge or the order of results.
- We don't give medical advice or recommend one professional over another.
- Google ratings aren't ours — we attribute them to their source.
- The badge doesn't guarantee a clinical outcome; it confirms verifiable facts, not results.
